Seafrigo Group: world specialist in temperature-controlled food logistics. The Seafrigo Group is continuing its development and is inaugurating a new 60,000 m² temperature-controlled logistics platform in Le Havre, in the immediate vicinity of the flagship PLS (Parc Logistique Seafrigo [Seafrigo Logistics Park]).
Owned by AG Real Estate and run by Seafrigo for a fixed term of 12 years, the two new buildings (30,000 m² each) will be fully operational by the end of the year and will accommodate the logistics flows of large-scale retailers and the agri-food industry.
This new complex has been designed as a bona fide multimodal hub that will enable the company to bolster its CSR strategy: the buildings will soon be connected to the rail system and a dockside facility will be created to boost inland waterway traffic and to encourage modal transfer to the Parisian ports.
On the social front, dozens of jobs will be created in greater Le Havre, turning the company into one of the engines of development for the local economy.
Eric Barbé, Chairman and CEO of the Seafrigo Group: “We are proud to share this joint project with AG Real Estate France and to offer our customers this new state-of-the-art multimodal logistics park in the heart of the shipping facilities of the Port of Le Havre. The Seafrigo Group will continue to grow in the years to come, and other projects are being studied in France and abroad. Our commitment is to control the entire logistics chain to the satisfaction of our partners.”
For his part, Thibault Delamain, Managing Director & Head of Investment & Asset Management of AG Real Estate France, said: “We are delighted to support the Seafrigo Group in this ambitious project launched in the beginning of 2020, thereby attesting to the capacity of AG Real Estate France to structure complex operations and to establish partnerships. With this investment we confirm our strong commitment to logistics properties in the port area of Le Havre, a strategic gateway to and from France for many manufacturers and distributors.”
