Winner of the CRE4.12 call for tenders on June 11, AG Real Estate has entrusted Urbasolar with the design, construction and operation of the solar power plant for its HAVLOG building, the largest logistics platform built on spec in France and soon to be the largest photovoltaic roof on a logistics building.
Located in the municipalities of Sandouville and Saint-Vigor-d'Ymonville, HAVLOG enjoys a strategic location in the Pont de Normandie 3 Logistics Park (PLPN3) in the port of Le Havre, close to its multimodal terminal.
This platform, with an exceptional volume of 92,000 m2, illustrates AG Real Estate's ambition to invest in environmentally friendly buildings.
“As a real estate player that has made sustainable development one of our priorities, for several years we have been committed to integrating photovoltaic installations into our buildings so as to reduce their carbon footprint and help them to become self-sufficient. This major operation carried out on HAVLOG with URBASOLAR is the largest solar production surface installed by AG Real Estate to date," explains Thibault Delamain, Managing Director of AG Real Estate France, and responsible for Investment & Asset Management.
The solar power plant will have 18,500 modules generating 7 MWp of power, with an expected annual production of 7,050 MWh; it will be able to supply all the electricity needs of the inhabitants of the two municipalities in which it is located.
“We are delighted with this partnership, which once again demonstrates the technical excellence and know-how of the Urbasolar group, the main French operator for such very large photovoltaic roof applications. Photovoltaics is an opportunity for the logistics sector to achieve some of the most demanding environmental benchmarks and to make a significant contribution to combating climate change. The Urbasolar group will mobilise to foster the emergence of such exemplary projects," say Arnaud Mine and Stéphanie Andrieu, co-founders and managers of the Urbasolar group.
