AG Real Estate is delighted to announce that it has obtained the building permit for its new mixed-use Thémis project on the Casernes Léopold site, a stone's throw from the Palais de Justice, the city centre and Namur railway station.
Nicknamed “La Petite Citadine” (the little city) due to its surroundings, Thémis embodies our desire to create a mixed-use, dynamic and sustainable neighbourhood that is firmly rooted in its time. With Thémis, AG Real Estate is offering the people of Namur an ambitious, comprehensive and balanced programme:
- Offices: 19,525 m² spread over several buildings
- Housing: 15,829 m² to welcome a new urban lifestyle
- Catering and retail: friendly spaces to bring the neighbourhood to life
- Community space: a place dedicated to the local community and citizen initiatives
Astrid Flamand, Head of Development at AG Real Estate, says: ‘This success is the result of teamwork, the rigour of our teams and the commitment of everyone involved. After developing the Palais de Justice, located a stone's throw from Thémis, we are delighted to be able to continue shaping this neighbourhood with great urban potential in the city of Namur.’
A project with a focus on the future
Thémis aims to meet the highest standards of sustainability, with BREEAM Excellent and WELL Gold certifications. This fossil fuel-free project is based on an ambitious strategy: maximum CO₂ reduction, use of geothermal energy, solar panels and heat pumps. Construction is scheduled to begin in late 2025.
