At the start of a new school year, everyone involved in the Scholen van Vlaanderen (Perceel 1) programme wishes all pupils, teachers and school boards in Flanders an exciting and successful school year.
On this first day of school, Scholen van Vlaanderen (Perceel 1) would like to recognise the excellent work of the teaching teams and reaffirm its commitment to education. The programme's teams are working with enthusiasm and determination on the schools of the future, which are designed to meet the needs of the next generations.
The competition is in full swing!
At present, the architects who registered for the design phase of the competition have been selected for all projects. The competition phase is already underway for 21 of the 29 schools. We are also looking forward to an intensive autumn. In November, December and January, we will work with the organising authorities, AGION and Team Vlaams Bouwmeester to select the final design architect for each school individually.
Scholen van Vlaanderen (Perceel 1) : a promise for the future of education in Flanders
Scholen van Vlaanderen (Perceel 1) was launched just over a year ago and has an ambitious goal: to provide Flemish youth with modern, sustainable and inspiring school infrastructure. This innovative programme is the result of a collaboration between private partners AG Real Estate, SK Invest and School Invest, together with the Flemish Government. Together, they are committed to designing, building, financing and maintaining 29 schools with a total surface area of 168,000 m² over a period of 30 years, spread across the entire territory.
